I got the new octy manual last week and was surprised by the poor quaility of this edition.When I unwrapped it some of the pages were still joined together which i had to cut with a knife.The pages are so thin there almost transparent. Over the years i've bought twelve different editions and this is the worst including number 474 yb 100 and number073 morris marina.They've covered too many models in one go, omitting a lot of component part diagrams.Why should a manual I bought twenty years ago look better than one I bought last week.

I found the manual very useful today when removing the rear bumper to fit reversing sensors.

I'm very dissapointed in the is manual. Don't buy it if you have aircon problems - it just says get it sorted by a professional , and unless I'm going nuts I can't find a section on how to change the steering rack. Finally there doesn't seem to be a wiring diagram for the engine loom.

Get the autodata CD of ebay for £2.00 - it moneys well spent.

Interestingly I found the ancient VW beetle manual apauling compared to the Vauxhall Nova one. The latter is really very useful.

Perhaps they've peaked in the 90's and are cutting costs to get more issues out there.

Either that or we hassled them too much so they did a rush job

Has anyone else got the autodata CD? is it money well spent?

Ive been wanting something like a haynes manual for a little while now, but as its such good quality!!! i dont think i will bother.....

Perhaps someone could organise a group "buy" of said CD
