Digital Music Files - Plays as Indiviudal Tracks, not Albums

Featured Replies

Just got a Skoda Karoq with a Columbus Infotainment system. However when playing music files, unlike my previous Skodas (Octavia and Yeti) they are played as individual tracks not as full albums. So live albums have a second pause between each track and albums where songs segue from one to another, e.g. Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt Pepper, Misplaced Childhood, etc all have the same VERY annoying one second gap between tracks.

I have tried playing from SD cards, USB and Blu Tooth using WAV, MP3 and FLAC files, all have the second gap.

Any idea if this can be changed? Seems strange that a newer car has this.

Did they play continuously from the same SD card before, or were you playing them from the CD previously? I know that iTunes will insert a gap when it saves music files to a card, to denote the end of one track and the start of the next.

Hi Chris,

It's the same SD Card that played seamlessly in my Octavia and Yeti but the Karoq insists on putting in an annoying one second gap. 😠

Sorry can't help you then. Presumably the software is seeing individual music files, but I don't know of any setting that will let it jump instantly to the next track.

I had spent ages going through the setting on the media screen but can find nothing that has anything as to how the system plays sound files. As a bit of a music obsessive it is very, very, VERY annoying.

Is it the Mix/repeat sub folders setting perhaps?

Nope that didn't work Either, neither did storing the files on the internal Jukebox and playing from there.  All rather annoying that my two older cars played the files seamlessly and the newer car doesn't! 😒
