Parking Sensors/rear bumper

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My car went into Skoda to get mot'd on Friday 9th and had a wash and vac whilst there, check Saturday afternoon and the centre right hand parking sensor was partially knocked in, accidentally went and fully knocked it in myself, checked the left two they seem fine, the far right (above exhaust) popped in with a gentle touch. Skoda have said they'll check their videos and I'm waiting for them to get back to me, got a strong feeling that a) it was probably the pressure washer that's loosened them and b) they'll refuse to touch it, even though it has the extended warranty. basic question is how hard is the bumper to get off? done a good search on here and can't find much and also done a google/youtube and i'm in a similar predicament, was wondering whether i can either loosen the right side of the bumper or take the lower valance off and i might be able to stick my hand/arm up there and put it back into place and electrical tape it to the inside of the bumper, doesnt need to be pretty either way, tia for any help 👍

Wish I could be more help as I had the same problem.

In my case someone reversed my car into a low wall so I had to get a whole new plastic diffuser and some attach points were bent so I bought a new diffuser and took it to the local garage so they could put it up on a lift.

After a few days one of the sensors fell in so was going off constantly so I took it back to them and they sorted it. I tried having a go myself but the space was very limited in there for my big hands.

You can take off the lower diffuser part without doing anything to the bumper

Thanks for the video but as mine is a petrol VRS my bumper is slightly different, i've attached a stock google image and circled the one that's popped in, the far right hand side one i managed to reattach and it seems all okay, just dont know whether i can take the black bit underneath the reflectors off and get easy access that way
