Great for you.  Do enjoy your trip to Bordeaux in style.  What side of the overhead console is the USB-C socket located, please?

I saw my first Superb MK4 at my dealer today, not mine unfortunately.  It's not in the showroom yet or registered and will not be on the road as a demo until their Big Launch Event later this month.  The USB-C socket is located on the RH side of the overhead console, so it's the wrong side for a dashcam.  It seems that Škoda didn't tool up to locate the USB-C socket on the LH side of the overhead console, unlike the handbrake which is on the LH side of the centre console in LH drive cars and on the RH side in RH drive cars.

  • Probably a gamble to catch the last of the old school buyers. There's not many cars left these days like the Octavia/Superb and especially as a Combi.   Everyone is pushing the SuV rout

Looks great. Did you see if the dealer had any demo stock?

My dealers now have their first Superb Mk4.  It's not in the showroom yet or registered for road use but they gave me a sneak preview.  It will be registered later this month and then be available as a demo.

My dashcam is on the RH side of the mirror behind the sunvisor

New Superb Estate Laurin & Klement 2.0 TDI 193PS DSG 4x4 in Energy Blue ordered yesterday.  Options include active tyre pressure monitoring system, heads-up display, simply clever family package, variable boot floor and boot net partition.  £49,100 on the road.

The on the road price for my forthcoming car has been reduced to £48,740.  This is because it's now been placed in the next lower VED band, so £680 for the first tax payment instead of £1,040 (pre 1st April 2024 rate).

I examined the car at the dealer today. I wanted to check the lumbar support, I noticed that new pneumatic lumbar support deflated immediately when i took my finger off the button, I couldn't make it fixed at inflated position..

Was it because the engine wasn't running? Does the new lumbar support inflate when engine on and deflate when engine off?

I saw my first Superb mkIV  at Ibis Styles Hotel in Warsaw, which belonged to another guest.  It was a L&K estate, but I didn't see any other details.  I didn't get to speak to him, but it was already looking a bit dirty, so he hadn't just collected it from the showroom.

I see the PHEV models are now available in the UK Configurator.
Looks like PHEV estate prices start at £41,675 for a SE Technology with no options.

Although by this morning they seem to have disappeared from the configurator!  I imagine they'll be back sooner or later.

The PHEV Superbs and Kodiaqs are back in the UK Configurator.
I wonder how long they will last this time...?

Superb SE Technology iV estate is now £41,465

Does your car have a spare wheel? If not then is there much space for one? According to the Skoda brochure only a space saver is offered on the Superb but the new Passat (which is essentially the same car) is offered with a full size alloy spare as an option.

So was wondering if there is scope for fitting a full size spare in the Superb.

Interesting to see there is a 2.0l 4x4 petrol as well. I wasn't expecting that.

Here's a picture, might be room for a full size wheel,. Great idea for somewhere to store the divider bits, as these are something I have no use for.

btw, the boot lid is very sensitive to shutting when you are at the back of the car with the lid open, had it hit my head a few times until I worked out how to turn off the virtual pedal. Just double click the opening/closing button on the inside.

Thanks - looks like quite a bit of space. Probably have to get down to a dealer and take some measurements!

For those that need to use the estate car it is nice to see it has a flat loading area with the seats down, unusual nowadays with Iso fix child seat fixings.

The UK Skoda brochures page has updated brochures for the Kodiaq and Superb, which include the PHEV models.

When you open the documents they both say "April" on the front page, but if you download them, the file names say June. (And I'm pretty sure these versions have only recently appeared on that Brochures page.)

This fits with the PHEVs appearing in the configurator back in April but then disappearing again after only a few days - looks like they were planned to be out earlier but then pulled for some reason?

My dealer told me the end of the year for the PHEV.

Anyone know if a 2.0 TSi front wheel drive is in the pipeline?

I am trying to choose between the hatchback vs estate version as the price difference is ~1000€ only in my country.

I know there are differences between the hatchback vs estate in trunk space, but the only difference I can found is in litres.

Have anyone found the (un)official length-width-height of trunk, especially the difference in height which could help me decide?

I am just curious if there will be a problem with a potentially taller packages/boxes or e.g. bycicles in the hatch?

The estate has not yet arrived in saloons in my town so I can't event measure it on my own.

Why would you want a saloon when they make an estate?

They are not available in all car showrooms yet so I cant see or measure  it in person.

It's big!

This is great, is the same available with the MK3?

These dividers are currently stored in my garage (😆)

I agree, was able to see the hatchback in person :)

But I was also curious if the part of the trunk closer to the door will be a little too low for, for example, taller boxes, a bike, or other things I might be transporting.

Just wasn't able to get this kind of feeling.

Also there's an estate version (which i can't check live right now) so I'm wondering what the difference in heights would be between the versions etc :D

Was searching for some more precise trunk dimensions other than litres 645 vs 690, but can't find anything on the Internet

Not in the mk3 you have to put them in the loft or somewhere and then forget where they are when you come to sell the car.

One thing though, with these stored under the boot floor you cannot make use of the variable height floor, if you have it, so will be putting them in the loft after a;;.

I need all the space the car can offer, I carry a lot of stuff!

Had a crawl over a showroom L&K 4x4 estate this afternoon - certainly looks nice and desirable but I didn't get the 'must have' feeling.........one negative was the centre armrest, no longer height adjustable and thus too low for me......

How do you adjust the armrest height???

(Grabs keys to go and check it in the car)..
