Headlights low and reverse cameras

Featured Replies

Have 2017 Superb with Xeon headlights, positive they are set to low and also they only give more distance at 68 mph plus, can I change this, I have a MaxiDAS DS808, but the headlight section is vast and not sure where to go, also is it possible to switch the reverse camera on if I'm being tailgated, I know it goes off when the locks cut in at 15 mph but it would be very handy

How long have you owned the car? What makes you think it’s set to low?

Have a look here about the headlights

As to the rear cam, why?, what would it achieve. Better to have front and rear dash cam, at least that way you might make a few quid if the clip went viral on youtube.

2 things, driving on motorways particularly in winter at say 65, the range of the headlights is appalling, I actually have to slow down its that bad, had its MOT and i bitched about it, they said within limits, when I bought the car before the MOT it was perfect, no aggro to other users but on a service they adjusted them and that was that. Also fast country driving at night is limited due to poor visibility and the manual saying lights only extend at speeds of 68mph and above. As I said, I have a MaxiDAS DS808 but there are SO many entries for the headlights I'm uncertain what to do ....

Hmmmm. Well, on the basis they’ve been adjusted by someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing too, by the sound of it, I’d get it to a local respected VW indy and get them to check the headlights, because the xenons on ours are great.

Why can’t you adjust them yourself?  I did on my MY21 Superb Sportline after the lowering springs were installed and they stuffed the OEM beam.

If they are the adaptive type like in the octavia. I agree with the **** poor performance at UK speeds. There is a section detailing switching off the poor weather option/rain option whilst still retaining adaptive light functions. Perfectly legal and safer as you dont have to drive above 68 to get the car to light up the road in front of you.
