Hello John :hi:

Are you sure it's a drain, and not just a battery in the twilight of its career?

How old is the battery and what type is it?

Do you have any ancillary components (e.g. a dash cam) or upgraded items that could be wired into a fuse box that are either on, or wired into a permanent live rather than an ignition live?

Anything electrical changed recently?  Boot light switched on?

Gaz

I suffer from the same problem my stop/start will only kick in after a long drive.  Mine I suspect is my dashcam

Two years and 51 weeks my Varta battery packed up without .warning. As mentioned only one week left for warrantly. As you have to pay to return it Idid not do it.. So bought another  with 5 year warranty £105.. Strange that original  one lasted 9 years.

Hi  it was my dash cams they were wired up so they were on all the time now they are only on when the ignition is on

That's my conclusion as well John,  every time I start the car the dash cam battery tells me its low so I switch it off if leaving it for more than a week or so

same identical here vrs diesel 2012 estate

had battery / alternator and belts renewed and still after two days needs jump start ... garage friends state really small drain but where ? frayed wire ? it's like 0.06 drain

so i bought a noco booster xl 1500amp jump starter and did some long miles but still needed the noco ..  the battery just seemed low but both alternator snd battery register as ok

so now bought noco 10 amp smart charger and hooked that up (neat plug in wires system permanent attach to battery) .. took 2.5 hrs to be fully charged and in maintenance mode and now seems better .. jump starter is now always with me ... if I dont need it ... still early days .. I might be able to quickly help someone that does

the 1500 amps punches hard and fast .. instant start at least and it's fully fail safe even polarity and heat and charges 6v - 12v standard - 12v agm and lithium batteries

dont need the clamp fixings now
