Hi...

Firstly I'm new to the forum...so hello to all....and I hope this post is in the correct place.

I've purchased a 'new to me' Superb 1.6SE TDI on a 67 plate.

At idle it won't rev past 3000rpm, it's fine under acceleration.

Is this a safety feature to protect the engine or do I have an issue I need to get looked at.

Yes.

Normal behaviour.
