Dumb Mistake, Help!

Featured Replies

Hello there, I'm new here so Hi!

anyways, I had done a stage 1 mk2 1.8 tsi, turns out it's a map for a 1.4 tsi, how does that affect the car? Thanks!

Welcome.   You have the car and done it so is there any improvement or an adverse affect?    There are not likely to be many others that have done what you have.     Were did you get the remap from that you have applied?

I got it from a reputable company near me but yesterday I looked at the map file and found that it's actually for an Audi 1.4 TSI...

The car lost power at low rpm since I did the map but it excelled at higher rpms so I figured that it's "Conserving" at low rpms so I didn't think of it much.

I'm going to revert to the original ecu file and see if there is a difference in the low rpm performance.

If it was from a reputable company go back to them and ask for the correct file...   Simples
