Android Auto

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Please would someone help me with an android Auto issue.

I can connect with a cable but not Bluetooth.

The car is connected to my phone by Bluetooth but it won't recognise Android Auto, thanks in advance.

Silly questions first. Do you have a system that supports it and is activated?

After that it's often the cable that causes any issues, followed by fluff in the port on the phone. Also make sure your phone is fully updated.

Hi Mark,

I have checked the version numbers and it is supposed.

When connected by the cable it works fine, mirroring by phone.

My understanding is, please correct me if I'm wrong, is that after the initial wiried connection it should then connect wireless by Bluetooth.

Thank you for your reply.

I don't think a 2015 Octavia would have wireless AA built-in.

You would need to get an AA wireless adapter.

I have one of these and can fully recommend it. It simply plugs in to the USB socket and my phone connects every time.

It can be purchased from Amazon.

Thank you.

Sorry there was no mention of wireless android auto. As above, no mk3 cars (apart from maybe the hybrid superb) have wireless mirror link.
