Constant infotainment reboots with 1941 firmware

Featured Replies

I upgraded my firmware to 1941 a few months ago and all problems disappeared (Octavia from SEP 2020). For the last few days I've had periods of constant infotainment reboots. I'm not aware of any OTA updates. I've tried rebooting manually by pressing the on/off button but that didn't change anything. Any advice? Is the some sort of cache clearing option maybe?

Cheers,

Peter

No usb device is connected

I haven't had a single reboot since getting 1941 in July, but I have had messages about a new OTA for a few days now. Haven't installed it though.

The only thing I can suggest is that you contact the dealer for advice or you try and reinstall it but that could brick it.

As per my other post. I'm getting a lot of issues with infosystem forgetting saved configuration etc in last few weeks. I had 1941 installed and got couple of weeks of niceness and then it went downhill. All started playing up after an ota back in August

This happened to me today.

It tends to happen once every few months to me, seemingly without trigger.

I assume it’s something to do with their servers. Very irritating though as it takes a while to put it all back how you wanted it.  I’m on 1941, but it used to do it on 1889 too. Everything else is pretty stable, and was on 1889 too.

I'd take it to the dealer and see if they can "re-flash" it and do the server connections.

We'll I've read some reports about issues with 1941 at the german skoda forum but these people mainly have probs with the HUD / navigation arrows (icons are showing up very laggy or just freeze). In this case I might try and disconnect the battery for an hour and give it another shot.

For me SW1941 still works fine except that I'm getting ACC more frequently since a few weeks but I expect this to be fixed during the next scheduled service in a few weeks (camera update).
