So I have a skoda superb SEL executive MY17 with memory seats and I'm trying to enable easy entry on the drivers seat but can't see the easy entry in adaptations any help would be appreciated

I tried enabling the Easy Entry on my MY17 Superb too, but with no luck.

I get the message "This function is currently not available"

 

Not sure why.

I don't know how to fix it.

 

I made the following changes:-

 

36 - Driver's Seat Module

07 Coding

> Easy Entry Front - active 

> Easy Entry front over MMI - active

> EasyEntry_Enable_Passenger_Over_DriverMMI - active

 

 

5F Information-Control Unit  Module

10 Adaptation

 

Select channel « ENG 122227_ENG 117556 Car Function Adaptation - Gen2

> Menu_display_seat_configuration - active

> menu_display_seat_configuration_over_threshold_high - active

 

Reboot infotainment unit.

"Seats" now showing, however I get the message saying it's not available.

I followed the coding above and have the same issue 

I get the message "This function is currently not available"

I have this error now in the 5F module when I perform a scan......

@JR RS - I'd try disabling EasyEntry_Enable_Passenger_Over_DriverMMI as I don't think the passenger side supports easy entry and I don't have it set.

I turned off the "EasyEntry_Enable_Passenger_Over_DriverMMI" as u recommended and the error in 5F module disappeared.

Makes sense given there is no software module or memory for the passenger seat - just electrics.

 

Sadly the Easy Entry still not working.

 

Also the Seat menu has disappeared from the Vehicle Settings.

 

No idea why it's not behaving.

 

Do I need to reset my Personalisation settings?

Do I need to change my Key Assignment, under Personalisation, to Automatic?

Had no issues using VCDS enabling this on the MKII or III.

Mine is also 2017 and after tinkering earlier it is now working

How did you make it working?

I also have enabled it some months ago on my MY18 (built in octobre 2017). 
No issue with it. The function can be disabled thru the MMI now.

I‘ll give you the coding within the week-end.

Change Byte 3 / Bit 1 - Easy Entry from 0 to 1

Change Byte 9 / Bit 6 - Easy Entry front over MMI from 0 to 1

 

5F - Information-electric > 10 Adaptation

Select channel "ENG 122227_ENG 117556 Car Function adaptation - Gen2 Menu_display_seat_configuration"

Change value from "Not active" to "Active"

 

Tick "software reset" box before exiting.

Otherwise, Control unit needs to be rebooted (press ON/OFF button from Columbus for 5-10s, exit the car, close the door, lock the car, get back into it)

Than check in Columbus / Car / Settings / Seats menu. An "Easy Entry" box to tick/untick should appear 

 

Note 1: My passenger seat is not equipped with a memory module, thus I was not able to activate Easy Entry for passenger seat. 

Note 2: if a MY2023, your Mk3 is a FL version. Coding it may be slightly different. Rather have a look to @MartiniB thread on VCDS FL version options, pinned on 1st page. AFAIK, he gave the 'Easy Entry' coding for both front seats. 🤔

I have not Seats menu.

@Bap33 - sadly that didn't make a difference.

I believe something changed from MY17 to MY18.

Hence why it's not working on pre-MY18.

 

Would b interesting to see how @Karlc28 got it going working on their MY17.

Probably it's a 2017 build MY18, which would explain why it's working.

@Bap33 Thanks for above guide, make my life easier.

 

In my case (MY2019 - only driver's seat with memory) 5F have not been needed to be modified as Seats settings has been already visible and includes "Store seat position - Vehicle key activated" option and for CU 36 initial value of Byte 9 has been 84 instead of 82 (what I can see in any other guide)

 

So once Bit 6 has been changed to 1 Byte 9 got a value of C4 not C2. The effect was Access aid appeared in Seats settings but seat did not move even option was enabled

 

 

Once value of Byte 9 has been modified to C2 seat moves but Store seat position disappeared

  

I use only one key so I don't miss this option but I try to understand if those are mutually exclusive or there is any configuration to get them both. 

Any ideas?

My 2016 Superb does not have "Easy entry over MMI" in coding and I am thinking of updating the module if the hardware is the same.

Yeah 5Q0 959 760 A doesn’t support it. I recommend change it to 3Q0 unit with this option and lumbar massage

Previously, I had tried to enable Easy Entry Seats on my MY17 Superb - no luck.

However, after doing a MIB2 to MIB2.5 conversion recently - Easy Entry is enabled and working!!

I wasn't expecting that as part of the conversion.

I didn't do any code changes, nor changed my seat module (36). It is 5Q0959760C (both HW and SW)
