  • ColinD changed the title to Kamiq notchy gears

Is the car back at the dealership that you bought it from?   If so, then try the dealer general manager, or, if it's part of a large group, then their head office.

If it's on finance, you could try talking to finance company as they have a legal responsibility.

What did notchy mean?

My Kamiq is about 6 months old, out was a dealer car they used to transport clients.

I notice on the low end of either air twitchy or sluggish.

What I mean with this is either the car takes off like a rocket or if I accelerate but don't commit due to the car in front being slow, it takes forever to react after the car in front moved and I had enough room, if that makes sense.

I put it down to DSG, as I never owned one, buy I find it a bit unsafe at times. Is this common?

I'm on my second car with DSG and I've always found that as I lift my foot off the brake pedal and gently press the accelerator the car begins to move and once it's moving it will continue to speed up without me pressing the accelerator further.  The exception is when the engine is cold and so is revving higher and then the car will move off when I lift my foot off the brake pedal without me having to press the accelerator.  If in those circumstances I also press the accelerator, then it does move off more quickly and may need checking by lifting off the accelerator and maybe even applying the brake.

@sk0derIt would be useful if you said what engine your DQ200 DSG is fitted to, a 1.0 TSI or a 1.5TSI ACT?
