pitting vrs standard alloys

Featured Replies

Help before I go after skoda.

Has anyone else experienced the alloys pitting?

The 2 on the back of my 23 month old VRS have started to pit and I am wondering if this is a standard problem?

Before anyone asks the front pair are fine and yes not funny cleaning products used just wash wax the same as the front

I have heard of it happening on a mazda where the guy was advised that it was the break pads.

All thought appreciated

My Octy has one pitted rear alloy and it seems to have happened due to the rear caliper binding on and I think it may be excess heat and brake dust that has caused it.

had it on mine in 138,000 miles, though I ran DS3000 pads which welded metal filings to the wheels

Hi. Have a look on my thread - type 'worrying over nothing' in the search tool.

Hope this helps
