I'm in the Sheffield Area, anyone have any Skoda Dealer Recommendations?

I travelled up from near London this morning to pick up my car from Bickertons impressive new showrooms in Sheffield.

I've been dealing with Neil there and he's been very helpful - much more helpful than my local dealers.

I've had dealings with both Bickertons and Gordon Lamb in Chesterfield (not far) both have been good although skomaz doesn't really rate Bickertons.

Hi there, I am in Sheffield too, we have rather a few Fabia's in our family, I have a 2.0 Elegance, My brother has a vRS (which is forsale!) my mother has just picked up a 1.2, and my brother's fiance's mother has a 1.4 Elegance Estate!

I bought mine from Barkers of Hull, found it as an ex demo on the internet, they were excellent and did an amazing deal! My brother his fiance's mother both got theirs from Hayseldens in Doncaster, very very good deals and had excellent service!

Went to Bickertons to look for my mum's. Despite an enquiry for two brand new cars they did not call as they said they would with a price for the part exchanges. When I called them, the prices were very "ordinary" to say the least, to be honest they didn't seem at all interested! They wanted my mother's car and

I enquired at Hayseldens in Doncaster recently and they seemed really enthusiastic, helpful and with some great deals, but I'll give the others a call too.

Yep I have got a bit of a downer on Bickertons after theier attitude when trying to buy a car off them but I'm going to give them a go for servicing after the recommendations on here!

Truth is I'm also starting to wonder a bit about Lambs after they had the car in for a clonking noise. Got it all sorted OK but only after a number of attempts and only after I pointed them in the direction of the driveshafts, despite them having a technical service bulletin on the matter! Also they have failed to provide me with any paperwork for the warranty work they carried out (this will need another visit).

So I'll give Bickertons a try

I cannot recommend Bickertons highly enough they even have an internet cafe with free coffee and internet usage
