Main console display

Featured Replies

On my main console at the top centre is as small green bar, I have searched through the handbook to no avail. I imagine it isn’t really important, it would be a lot bigger. The only thing I can think off is that it is a battery condition indicator. Any ideas?

When you say main console do you mean the radio or do you mean the instrument cluster?

Can you post a picture of this green bar you are talking about as there are many possibilities including dead pixels?

Thanks for the interest, I meant the media unit. However on starting her up this morning it had miraculously disappeared. Hopefully it won’t appear again, but it would nice to know what function it has. The reason I thought that it might be battery related is because I had a new battery fitted yesterday including being coded to the car.

Is this on a Fabia III or your Octavia?

Is it the state of your mobile phone battery?

This only shows when your phone is connected to the infotainment system.

👍

@Hussar175 the phone doesn't have to be in the car just within reception so the green bar might be there when the car is parked at home but disappear if the phone is (quite rightly) left at home and you have driven away from home.

There are other waning lights and messages to let you know you have let the car battery get too low, and more unexpected lights if you let the battery get far too low or low and using a lot of electric, well with a start/stop car at least.

The mobile phone explanation would seem worth looking into, I’ll check it in the morning.

 Thanks
