So, I've experienced the dreaded oil pump failure in my 2.0tdi on an 08 plate. 

 

I've ordered a new pump and hex key from GSF but I'm really struggling to source a balance shaft. 

 

Can anyone please point me in the direction of where to go for ordering a new one. I've tried Ebay etc but they only use exchange services and I don't have the broken one as its obviously at the garage where my car is!

No, it's not the pump drive, it's the balance shaft that sits inside of the unit that comes with a hex key. I can get the pump itself and the hex key off GSF but the balance shaft itself is the nightmare to come by. 

I think it's time to cut my losses with her unfortunately. 😔
