Spacer overkill?

Featured Replies

So I have 2021 Kodiaq RS with the Extreme 20 inch factory rims, 8Jx20 ET41, with 235/45 R20 Pirelli Tyres.

Like so : https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/565071490cha7-aluminium-rim-20-xtreme-skoda-41377.html

Have the black out version of the kodiaq (black decals, rear skoda badge etc) and have replaced the front chrome badge with a black for a full knight rider look. But the gap in the wheel arch's has been bugging me. So I measured up and ordered hub centric spacers. 20mm for the front and 40mm for the rear.

But now I'm getting itchy feet, am I compromising the safety/longevity/warranty of the vehicle?

I have 20 mm in front and back. No issues or remarks from official dealer.

Cheers, can see lots running 20mm, I suppose its the 40mm I'm a little dubious about. Not sure anyone has ever done it.

Some guy had 30 mm installed to back, but I have no feedback.
