What would fit?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, basically I'm looking at these videos of octavia's on YT, and I see that some has a touch screen, I have a 2011 Octavia but has this screen (in pic).

I'm looking to fit one but idk if there will be issues compatibility wise, also is there a screen that would be a direct fit size wise?

You can go with a model specific Android head unit. They usually come with everything included, plug in wiring, adapters and so on.

Second option would be a 2din head unit but these don't really suit the styling of the rest of the interior in my opinion.

Bump

What you have is a swing radio, and if you want to stay skoda you could upgrade to a bolero unit. The grey fascia plate stays the same too. (I did this with my 09 octaviaa few years ago).

The amundsen or columbus units are also options but the fascia trim plate would also need to be changed as they are a different shape to the swing.

Some of the VW units may also be compatible. After that your looking at going to an android unit.

I believe the issue isnt with the radio itself but with what Bluetooth module is fitted in the car. See link below to other post on this site.

My car is 2009 so i only have bluetooth for calls. No big deal for me as I dont have a spotify/Itunes account and quite happy with radio and the CD changer.

"Bluetooth audio streaming is only possible with year 11 model cars which were built after 25 may 2010, when they started fitting gsm2 Bluetooth kit. Cars built before this have the option on the belero but it it not wired up"
