Driver door lock malfunction!

Featured Replies

My driver door just started randomly starting not locking by the key fob, but the other doors will. So I have to manually lock the door. Most of the time when the cars locked I can open all the doors from the key fob including the driver door (occasionally it doesn’t). The central locking system is not working as well. I asked a technician and they said it’s most likely the pump the controls the lock isn’t getting the signal or is malfunctioning. (It’s not the fob, I changed the batteries and tried the spare)

Most likely the lock actuator in the door. It may work again for a while when it gets warmer but they are a relatively common failure.

Are you saying, your central locking button does not operate as well. That is likely a separate issue but could be related.

Have you run a full scan?

I haven’t ran a scan and yes the issue is happening with the central locking. It makes sense to be the actuator and I only got the car in the summer.
