Timing chain

Featured Replies

Hi all. A general question but does anyone have any experience of a timing chain measurement ( in this case 6.13% deviation via vcds) not being either accurate or a complete false positive? On any car. I mean how likely is it that injectors, flaps, spark plugs, cam magnets, throttle body, fuel pressure , moisture in the fuel bad connection somewhere, faulty sensor,or combination of all those things (heck let's throw in a vacuum leak), could end up leading to vcds reading this six degree deviation? On a personal level I think it impossible but I don't know.
