Lummox's VW Polo

Featured Replies

I got me a new project motor for the summer. Excellent carrying capacity VW build quality and reliability, reasonable performance from the 100bhp 1.6 engine. Should make a good baby wagon, just needs a few chice mods to make it uber cool ;)

Handy thing is being as its a 100bhp engine all the mounting points etc are the same as the 1.8 engine (inc the 20vt ;) )

I feel a plan hatching.

Floor mats were a fiver from Morrisons, will do until I can get some gen ones from work. Carpets are mint underneath and wanted to keep em that way.

Looks very tidy. Can't wait to see it "Lummoxed"

Can't complain at that price! And they'll do the job they're supposed to...

Steve

Not the best looking car VW have ever produced but I always liked that model of Polo - the interior was very nice at the time , and I'm sure it won't stay standard for too long.

It's a very clean and tidy example so should do the job nicely.

pick up truck convertion???:D

i looked at getting 1 of these (seat cordoba vario) a few years back... ended up getting a renault megane as i drive a VW caddy for work and sitting looking at the same dash as i drive at work did not appeal

i guess as neither VW or seat offer an estate in the current range Polo or Cordoba the Fabia wagon is the spiritual succesor to this.....

Nice.

17s?

Coilovers?

Leave it 3 or 4 months, then a 20vt lump dropped in. :D Actually, if you do that leave it on stilts and steels. ;)

Edit: Someone's not turned on the smileys in this sub-forum.... lol

Looks very good. Can't wait to see the baby Recaro seat in it... :D

AWWW you have stormtrooper and chewbacca lego keyring things!! (not that i looked that hard to see which keyrings you had!!)

Nice little wagon you have there. Whack a 1.8T in and take on the role of Cilla Black at traffic lights...

(Surprise, surprise ;) )

Clear indicators on. Suspension wont be going on this weekend, got the kit but there is a part missing, has been posted out to me though.

The sticker on the back of the interior mirror, is it white with a red border with a number printed on it?

Nice - front looks more agressive now, with black all across the grill and the clear indicators.
