Rubber boot mat / liner for 5 seater with spare wheel

Featured Replies

The age old question of rubber boot liner. I'm trying to find a boot mat / liner for my 5 seater kodiaq with spare wheel kit. The only one I have been able to find so far is the reversible one from caffyns which seems a bit pricey and the pictures for it don't really show what the rubber side is like. Has anyone been able to find any 3rd party alternatives that will fit with the wheel kit?

You should be able to order either of the below plastic tubs from any VAG parts department quoting the relevant OEM part number, ie. 565061162B or 565061162. Which one you choose, depends on whether you have the basic floor or not. As you can see in the photos below, the basic floor version is much deeper so will offer the best protection. The basic floor version is 200mm deep, whereas the other version is only 60mm deep. As well as the increase in depth, notice that the basic floor version is also much heavier, ie. 7kg vs 3.2kg.

My Carbox / Roofbox liner is now in it’s third Bear.

I like it. My old one looks a bit different from this pic.

7 seat for me.

I agree, it is pricey for what it is, but the reverse rubber side is shown in the previous photo on that Caffyns page.

So in conclusion in the end I went for this one  from DriveDen. I did pop them a message to ask prior to ordering if it would fit, to which they said it would and also have that to fall back on if I found it wouldn't.

Anyway arrived quickly rolled up in it's box. Took a couple of days for it to return fully back to shape but fits the boot well and for half the price of the caffyns one.
