Alarm siren location MK2 vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all, just trying to locate the alarm siren location in a 2013 MK2 vrs. Have looked under the driver's and passengers wheel arch where it normally is but don't see any unit as is described in under threads about it. The hazards light are flashing when the car is parked randomly and have a replacement alarm siren unit but can't locate the old one in the car. Could it be in another spot in the car or does this indicate that the alarm siren unit has been already removed in the past. Have the car 2 years and have never heard the siren go off.

In a Mk2 Octavia the the alarm is accessed by removing the liner to the wheel arch on the driver's side.

However, as yours is a 2013 model it could be a changeover model with some differences.

If you are sure it is not on a body panel at the rear of the wheel arch (after removing the liner) then ask for the alarm location of the later model in the Mk3 forum.

If it has been removed you will find the cable and the fixing stud. There are also location photos in the alarm "sticky" thread at the top of this forum page.
