Hello everyone!

I'm about to service my vehicle as it has clocked 10,000 miles upon last service and I am trying to buy the parts myself, I have been trying to get the type of engine oil to buy from my manual booklet but can't find any specific information. 

I was told to get the engine oil, oil filter and air filter for the service as I was ripped off by Skoda service centre and they literally just changed oil, oil filter, brake fluid and was charged £279.

I need your guidance on this please.

We need more details on what your car is. Engine etc.

The Oil is to VW504 00 / 507 00, so 5w 30 FS III.   For Fixed or Variable Servicing.    It must be VW507 00 if a TDI, Fixed or Variable.

 

For a TSI it can be VW502 00 for Fixed Servicing, so 5w 40 FS.  (Not long life oil.)

 

 

£279 was a fixed price for a Major Service back in 2019 at Participating Main Dealers for a service.

After that it because the new Service Regime, where extras cost extra. Little done.

@Oluwasegun   Is it a 1.6 TDI CR, 7 speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG?  A diesel.

 

So VW504 00 / 507 00,  5w 30 FS III even for Fixed Service Intervals.    No Service requirements / oil change for the DSG.

It's a 7 speed but I don't know much in-depth info about it.

No Service Schedule, guidelines or recommendations to change the 2 oils in a DQ200.

Any record of the cambelt and water pump been replaced. 

 

Regardless of anything Skoda / VW says now about their replacements i would not leave one for 12 years. or even 6 years.

Cambelt and water pump was replaced last in 2022.

I bought the vehicle in 2023

I'm just getting to like the vehicle and I want to take good care of it which is why I have come to the platform as I have been learning a lot on here since last year.
