Skoda Factory Road Trip

.. or eat Maccy D's

Exactly. Although I must say, my experience of European McDonalds has always been a pleasant suprise, as they do fresh salads etc and menu items we don't have. They also don't seem to employ braindead moped owning c.havs to make the chips cold, and the burgers extra greasy.

Lorraine enjoyed her meat..........

Never mind.

It is the National Museum, not theatre! :) Theatre is on Vltava river bank - quite far away from Venceslas Sq. ;)

Ooooops, slip of the tongue National Museum car park it is :o:thumbup:

Loz my petal be patient, it's not long before we venture into the unknown ;):D

What speed would everyone be happy at cruising on the motorways on our journey. There is no point blasting off from Calais at breakneck speeds if some of you are not comfortable with it.

I'm sure we may well have a little 'play' on the de-restricted parts of the autobahn but for the most part they wont be.

Remember, the journey is as much a part of the trip as everything else so we want everyone to enjoy the experience from dock to destination.

I'm trying :( but the thought of another whole day at work just isn't doing it for me :(

Hmm..we wont be with you lot for alot of your trip experience....Dave, will we be enjoying the experience from dock to destination as much as them??

... cue filthy misquotes centred on "docking" ...:D

I only want an enjoyable experience dammit!

Steve - I believe 80mph is a good speed - Means we make good pace, and lots will still overtake us even then. A bit of 90 for a good stretch won't hurt. ;) In the delimited bits? Who knows? :D

80 in a standard Octy vRS, how will I keep up.......or do you mean 180. :)

80 is a bit toooooooo slow for me and 180 is waaaaaaay beyond my abilities (and the car!). I think a compromise somewhere in between would be cool, 130 it is then ;)

90 ish is good for me. Compromise between economy and fun. 160 is better though. :)

Sorry another vote for 80mph here, as I will be Co driving Pete's car.

I believe the common consensus will be 85 then. :) After all, the majority of the roads which will be limited, will be 130kmh anyway, which is ahem.... [does maths] 81.25 mph? So 85 would only be slightly over the limit (indicated 85 perhaps?)

With 700 odd miles to do from Calais, from 7am roughly, we need to get a good wiggle on I think.

Should have stuck a 2.0 lump in instead of the TDI Jason, you could have done it in 2.5 hours at a gentle lope :D

Hello! I would like to share my opinion on Prague with you guys. I spent there last week and I had the time of my life. Great hotel which I found on Hotels in Prague was in the city centre but noisy at all. Good rate, friendly personal. Absolutely gorgeous city.

How much is it to come along. What is Prague like in Sept? warmish?

To save a lot of trawling through posts what the dates and costs of the trip?

I thank you...!
