THERE IS!!

If you go to sex clubs I WILL disown you! :P

Guys, I just want to warn you against car washes at fuel stations here!!! Never use them if you want to have your paint scratchless and shiny! The brushes are not changed in accordance to producer recommendation, or very rarely, so there is a lot of dirtness in them. Better to wash your ducks at stations that have pressure washers - costs 10CZK per 1 minute. Furthermore we have one touchless car wash in Prague, but it´s quite far away from your hotel... but if you want I can post the address its address here. ;)

Is washing our cars a pre-requesite of attending the meet on Saturday? After 1000 miles my car will be damn mucky. :D The wheels will be especially dusty. :rofl:

Does anyone know which route we are using yet?

Where abouts are we meeting at Dover?

a) in the docks

B) on the seafront just along from the docks?

The 'Road Trip Packs' gives you all the information you will need but unfortunately Mike you ain't getting one as you are a passenger (Fofos has one)!.

But for your information we are all meeting at the Ferry terminal at around 3:30am on Thursday morning :eek: :P

In the docks would be easier as we all get lined up before the ferry anyway. Did you order a ring sticker off me? I got three while I was over there and I think Jon wanted three as well.... :o

:rofl: I don't mind if Loz wants to don a sponge and give mine a lathering down. That almost sounds rude! :eek:

Loaded other maps of Germany on to my Navman just now - That will at least take me to the CZ border. Then I'm relying on everyone staying in the tight group the official Briskoda roadtrip guide dictates. ;)

Is anyone bringing a 3 pin convertor for plugs? I assume the plugs over there are the traditional 2 pin as found in Germany? :confused: Its just I may need to charge up my camcorder while over there, so will need a plug. I have 3 hours of video tape to fill, and only about 90 minutes of battery from fully charged. :D

I've just blagged a free nokia in-car charger from a local recycling website, so will have mobile battery charging for my mobile, and anyone else with a Nokia that takes the standard little round plug. :)

Went on the bbc weather 5 day forcast and wednesday is 27oc for prague looks like it could be a nice hot 4 days :thumbup: or it will pee it down from thursday to saturday and the sun will come out when were comming home:mad: .Anyway pack your shorts it could be hot:D .

lol, I reckon I'm gonna regret saying that when I have a queue of cars to wash!! :rofl:

Having just returned from a trip to Prague, I must wish you all the best for your trip. Prague is a fantastic place and you should enjoy every minute of it.

I have to be honest with you I don't really fancy driving round in the city myself at any time of day as the traffic and some of the streets are INSANE. Here is a tame one;

If I could give anyone some advice on going out in Prague it would be this;

1. You have to try the more local cusine of Pork, Dumplings and Saurkraut. Huge portions (Lots of meaty goodness!) and really tasty!

2. Beer and drink prices vary wildly from 40kr of a large pilsner to 190kr for a small pilsner. It's worth checking this out before you go into any "club". There are plenty of bars in Praha 1 that will serve you a cold frothy one for a good price. It's all really good by the way :) Stay away from Fernet Stock unless you really hate yourself.

3. If you do go into a Cabaret club be aware that some of them don't just offer the usual dancing entertainment :cool: I have seen things over the last few days that I will never be able to tell my kids about. There was this incident with a Midget and a snake but i'll leave that there ;)

4. If you go out in St.Wencelas Sq in the evening be prepared for a lot of touts trying to drag you into above mentioned clubs. It can be quite a mission to get down the square, stay focused and keep walking.

5. Sightseeing - You can see all the good stuff in one day but it's tough. Use the metro, trams or buses to help you. Charles bridge is cool as as is the Astro clock but avoid the Musem of Communisim, it's crap :(

6. Everyone seemed to know I was an english speaker before I had said anything. Either english is used a lot or I must badly look like a fat welsh tourist. I think both, which is a good think because I found Czech really hard to get right. Some phrases however (Like "Please", "Thankyou", "Yes", "No", "How Much" etc are very useful.

7. Cashpoints in the centre are rare. Also be aware of the exchange rate as you can end up paying a lot for things. I paid 90kr for a can of Coke at the airport (That's around £2.50ish :eek: but it did get rid of my change) thinking it was about 90p :(

Prague is a really laid back town and it almost feels stressless. In general the people are friendly and helpful and I will be going back for sure. I had a fantastic time and hope you do too (Just gutted I am missing your factory tour :( )

Thanks for the insite.

Eh, you must have a driving licence surely?.

Your UK driving license is fine for driving in Europe. I've never heard of an "international license" before. :confused:

You can't drive in the Czech Republic with an old paper UK driving license - you need either the new UK photocard license or an international driving license complete with photo (£7.50 from the post office). The AA website has a list of legal requirements for driving abroad.

HTH :)

Oh? Well, I have a photocard driving license as well as my "1996" paper driving license. :)
