Where is the DPF warning light , does my 1.6 cr SE have one?

Featured Replies

I wasn't aware my Skoda 1.6 TDI had a DPF, recently, i had an engine issue, the glow plug light started flashing, had to stop to look it up in the handbook,  checked the onboard  infotainment screen under Car Status, it said start/ stop system malfunction,, as i was towing ,it is deactivated.

Any way continued my journey ,the engine had gone to 'limp mode' , got home, turned engine off , then restarted after a while, flashing glow plug had gone out, but Engine exhaust light had come on, but engine power had recovered.

Can anyone say what's going on, as near to my eventual destination the glow plug light ( flashing ) & Engine exhaust light were on again.

Car is around 75,k miles and 14 plate, normally drive 50 miles or so per journey , sometimes loaded., so low use ,but used on longer drives, not around town much.

I don't recognise the DPF warning light ,coming on, or had any maxi dot messages come up.

Do I have a DPF issue or not?

Need a full scan to see what faults are being logged. It could be dpf related or it could be something else.

The start stop system will become unavailable with engine faults and yours has gone into limp mode.

You should Investigate this to make sure you're not going to cause further damage.

Sorry no idea about the light with a Mk2 Fabia 1.6TDI CR

I don't seem to have a DPF filter warning light, presumably it should?

It maybe the battery, checked it's status, it said 70% charge, it starts no problems, it's been on since I've owned it ,6yrs so due replacement soon.

Anyways ,booked in for Thursday, it's run fine since I bought it.
