Inside MIB 3 Amplifier photos

Featured Replies

Dear all,

At this time of my life Skoda Octavia III continues to be part of my life / I sold mine, but my cousin buy VRS :) /
So all knowledge I took from it, I use now :)

New car is Audi A6 C8.
It has Bang Olufsen music and ... I opened the amplifier just to check it out :)

It is called MIB 3 booster and it is located in truck. It is claimed to be 705 W. At the beginning I tough it using MIB2 amp like the Skoda - seeing the pictures schematic. But after I found it - it is different.
So. Whats inside :) Pictures later

For now:

1 chip TDF8536HH with specs: Class D / 4 x 140W at 4 ohm
1 chip TDF8532HH with specs: Class D 4 x 80W at 4 ohm

Maybe a different threat must be done, but no time now, maybe later.

Regards,

Please to know that this amp in my opinion is not so powerful as the MIB 2 AMP. In other words VW is taking more money from us for not even close power. I know that these transistors are more powerful than MIB 2, but their Efficiency is getting low very fast! The thermal protection lowers the power output, and because there is no fan - temperatures are fastly exceeding +70 Celsius.
Except that. I changed the stock subwoofer rated 2 x 100 W 4ohm and putted 70W single coil speaker/thinking that will be burned out from the amp/, and nothing happened. it is not even close ... Will keep you in touch.

If someone wants can copy this thread to other forums so the info get to more people!
