Hello everyone,

I own a Škoda Citigo from November 2017. I'm considering installing a steering wheel with buttons, similar to the ones found in Škoda Rapid models from the same era, as I've seen these available for around €120.

I have a few questions regarding this upgrade:

1. Will the steering wheel controls (volume, skip song, etc.) be compatible with my multimedia system? I've noticed that some other trim levels of the Citigo have these controls, and the steering wheel appears identical to that of the Rapid.
2. Will my current airbag fit the new steering wheel?
3. Does my current multimedia system have the necessary connections for the steering wheel controls, or would an aftermarket multimedia system be required?

I've attached a picture of my current setup for reference. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards,

Here's one from a 2019 Citigo SE-L - are these the buttons you were thinking of?  Standard leather, too.

I'm sure the airbag is compatible with yours, but one off say, a Rapide, may not, as the car interior is larger, so the bag may be a different volume.

Some ECU coding may be needed, but I don't know if the wiring loom is present on yours.

I'd check out a few breakers for a suitable steering wheel...
