Virtual pedal on Octavia mk4 VRs?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

does anybody know if my 70 reg mk4 Octavia VRs has the ‘virtual pedal’ feature (where you can open your boot with your leg). Doesn’t seem to currently work… just wondered if there was a setting, it was a custom spec or if they just don’t have it at all.

cheers

Josh

I've apparently got it on mine and it's showing as active on the infotainment system, but it doesn't work, I've got a MY 23 RS.

Oh that’s weird… what area is it under on the infotainment system? Couldn’t find it when I looked earlier..

Vehicle menu, where it shows a picture of the car externally, and it's in there somewhere. I can't remember where I have seen it though.

Mine has it too, but very hit and miss. Only picks up the foot movement about 50% of the time, maybe the sensors get dirty or something?

I have it on my MY21 VRS.

It works well.

Works great on mine, thought it was a bit of gimmick at first but it's really useful when your hands are full.

Where do you wave your foot, under the right exhaust?

In the centre, and you don't wave it, just move it under and back out again.

This might help.

Well what a massive fool I am, that works perfectly, 5 times out of 5 and counting.

I’m sure the dealer said under the right exhaust!

Thanks @Neily03

Checked the vehicle exterior menu, it's highlighted in green so active, but I go to the back of the car, put my foot under the bumper and nothing happens.

So maybe one for the dealer to sort in August when It goes for its service.
