Will Passat Weathershields Fit?

Featured Replies

It seems very hard to find weathershields for the MkIII Superb Wagon. Has anyone got any suggestions, or do we know if the VW Passat Wagon uses the same shape weathershields?

Are you on about wind deflectors? Plenty of them come up if you use that wording “Skoda superb wind deflectors”

Bit old school now because of A/C but each to their own

Different terminology! Thank you, found some in the UK. Might have to bite the bullet and pay the shipping...

The B8 Passat and mk3 Superb don't share the same windows.

There r plenty of options for Superb weather shields, including Kopacek.

It will only be possible with Superb Mk4 and Passat B9, since they share the same plateforme and only front and rear differ...

Had a set for a month, removed and sold them. All they did was create a load more wind noise. They’re a complete waste of money IMO.

I use them to get some air flow in the car and turn AC off. Can be the difference between the engine running on my commute or not.

i find them very useful - keeps the car ventilated when parked outside on a hot summer day without having to worry about rain.

as above, i can also keep the window cracked open whilst driving, if needed.

Interestingly, these appear to be far more popular in Ireland, across all makes/models. For me it was just the additional wind noise they created which I couldn’t stand, so-much-so that when we arrived at our destination from a 250 mile motorway drive, I removed and stuck them in the boot and later sold them to a fellow Briskodian.

And I wouldn't be without them.

Mudflaps r noisy.

Wind deflectors r noisy.

Wing mirrors r noisy.

Downsides - yes, but the advantages outweigh that.

In your opinion, of course.
In my opinion, I’d rather have airco on recirc than having a windows cranked open, breathing in traffic fumes or additional wind buffeting above 50 mph.

In the UK sitting in car and waiting as many have to and it is raining then the window cracked open is rather a common thing and wind deflectors are fandabydozy.

Sitting car idling with demister on is not really so 'Simply Clever'.
