Is a rear view parking camera standard on the Technology model Karoq?

Featured Replies

Can someone please tell me if a rear view parking camera is standard on the Technology model Karoq? I have an awkward parking place to get into, and It's something often not listed on the Skoda used car info site.

Thanks, Max

I don't think so.

Sat Nav, Dual Zone Climate, LED DRL's, Adaptive Cruise over SE.

No.  I had mine fitted by the dealer when I bought the car, but I could have had it done much cheaper fiited afterwards.  I recall there was someone on here saying he was doing it for around £300, but that was two or more years ago.  I wouldn't be without it.

I don't know if it's possible to retrofit a more modern one that alters the angle of view as you turn the steering wheel etc.  Mine only looks straight behind but still very useful.

Adding to logiclee's list, the  Tech model also came with better looking wheels but I went and spoiled things by changing to steel16" ones last year.  I don't know if the standard SE came with front parking (acoustic + diagrammatic warning) sensors, but my SE Tech did and an item I'd now regard as essential.

Thanks Croque. If there was an option to have 16" steel wheels and high profile tyres I'd take it! The fashion is for ever bigger alloys, but I find big wheel/low tyre combinations noisy, and expensive to repair when a pothole gets you. I can afford e.g. a Sportline, but I won't be getting one as my biggest mileage is a 270 mile each way 'follow' the leader' type trip on A roads. I like listening to music as I drive, not suspension noise and road rumble - so the best Karoq for me might be a low mileage loaded 2021 Technology (alloys, but 17" ones), if I can find one...

Your ideal car could be a 2021 "Edition" and buy a set of 16" steelies. Keep the 19" wheels for when you sell.

That’s exactly what I’ve done - fitted a set of 16” alloys with high profile CrossClimates that I never got around to selling when I parted with the previous Karoq - perfect for the nightmare roads of north Nottinghamshire.

Gives the motor a more rugged look too - as opposed the trendy but effeminate look of the original wheels……😎
