Hello, are you able to post an image of your rear bumper? The 'little round circles' you mention suggest that you should have rear parking sensors.

I'd say yes, rear sensors are fitted. Does the reversing light work correctly?

Without going out side when I go it a few days back I seen one light on as I was standing on one side that I could only see lol if that makes sense 

If the reverse light is operating, that indicates that the gear box reverse position switch is ok.

Presumably these sensors didn't work when you bought it? Is this a recent purchase - is there any warranty?

I gather there will be a very faint, but audible, clicking noise when the sensors are operating, have you tried that?

You will probably need to get the system scanned for faults.

I got 3 month warranty just phoned garage so got to take it over tomorrow 

Well been to garage lad could not find the prob with his gear so got to drop it back Tuesday were he is getting a vag one

I assume your garage has confirmed that the reverse sensors do not operate - at least you have the issue logged with them now.

Do you get the radar type visual display on the screen?

No getting nothing on screen at all no sound or beebs when in reverse but every think is working about from that.but now its locking the unit up can't turn it off or on gives flashing then black screen but still have sound when pressing any button it's fronze lad say might be the unit so have to wait until Tuesday till he gets  vag computer 

Sounds like somebody has coded them out.

I'd be very surprised if an Elegance didn't have rear parking sensors, but the lack of any parking switch in the centre console does make doubt?

If it's only rear sensors, there is no button

well back from garage radio is ok every think works now its not going off or black screen,lad say a little fuse had poped,,but when i got home and went to go into reverse no image on screen or beebs so dont no if my car has this? i have no other button to press near gear stick ony 3

The reversing sensors do not require a separate switch - they operate when reverse gear is selected (and the display shows on the centre screen)

well i dont get that,,lad was not in when picking car up,just some other dude says been tested cant see any faults just that fuse he says,,

According to Parkers, the 2014 Octavia Elegance is fitted with parking sensors - if yours are not operating and you want them to, I suggest taking your car to someone competent to find out what is wrong and fix them.

That is most likely because the sensors are not working!

Just a thought, if a previous owner has tried to change some settings, using say OBD11, it's possible that they have screwed up the settings causing the system to not recognise the sensors.

I am speaking from experience with different function. 

Maybe look at the vcds owners list and map.

 

An autoscan might give some clues as to why the parking module is unhappy. Could be a sensor or even just the buzzer it uses.

Could well be coded out. I have a 2015 Elegance spec and when I go into "Parking and Manoeuvring" I get the below screen.
