Grabbed some pics of the boot this evening with the new updated interior lights in place. A massive improvement. IMG_6846.thumb.jpeg.0ff4a5115cba4a203b9a8172d0a0aaa5.jpegIMG_6847.thumb.jpeg.90b71dafe980cbb24eae5a33b2336a8d.jpeg

LOL - thankfully not. Good old fashioned black leather. Just a trick of the light shining through next door's hedge.

Decided to buy a few more bits from Kopacek to finish off the car.

As the door puddle lights are a non-starter, I've now got the uprated lights for the underside of the mirrors. I will be honest, I am really not looking forward to trying to disassemble them, but hoping it will be worth the effort.

Also picked up some genuine carpet mats. They were doing the premium ones for RHD cheap (10 Euros a set) to get rid of them, so ordered a couple of packs. They are extremely good, and very very thick.

Finally, I ordered another boot net kit (yes, I know I already have one set). I wanted another side net, and this was the only way to get it. They were cheap enough that it's worth keeping the other two nets as spares.

Also, I need to get my finger out and fit my dashcam. Similarly, not looking forward to trying to remove the passenger side A pillar trim. Praying I don't break it. Dread to think what a replacement would cost.

Pics to follow when I fit stuff.

A-Pillar trim is a simple spring-clip affair, don't panic.  Yank it at the top, two clips to release & the bottom bit just sits in a slot at the end of the dash

Cheers for the pic @Tankdave and for the reassurance. Hoping it really is that easy. I have a good set of trim tools to assist. It's just the last time I did an A pillar it was in my mum's (now my) Fabia II Combi when I was retro fitting factory bluetooth and nav. That REALLY didn't want to come off.

This A-Pillar trim was about the easiest VAG one so far but still a bit scary. I just decided to try & yank it off  see what happened, you know the rest

Few more accessory additions to the car over the weekend. Found a dealer clearing out some stuff cheap, so bought the Comfort Pack (2x headread smart accessory fittings, 1x coat hanger, 1x hook, 1x tablet/phone holder (means I now have two of these as already had one), and 1x door bin.

Also bout this luggage strap, which is a new accessory that fits both the Superb III and the new model.

If not too late, this may help you ;)

Not too late and very helpful @Bap33 - thanks for sharing. Roughly how far down from the top of the trim panel is that first clip? Just thinking in terms of where to apply pressure with the trim tool to push the clip out straight without bending or breaking anything. Thanks.

I would say approximately 3"... Already a long time ago I did it...🤔

I bought a ski bag!

But, rather than buying the genuine Skoda one (cheapest I could find new was £50), I bought the Audi one. Exactly the same bag (literally identical, same instructions printed on it and everything), just with an Audi logo in place of the Skoda one. Same applies for VW and Seat, but the Audi one was the cheapest option (guess there's shedloads of them about unsold as Audi owners don't ski it seems) - got it new for £20 delivered.

Interested in see how easy it was fitting the dashcam, I have a Garmin 56w (I think) with hardwire kit I've just removed from my Octavia VRS. This was fitted by a independent coder but seems to have positive, switch and negative. I am guessing the fuse box is behind the glovebox as per the Octavia?

Correct.

Heya, do you still have those door reflector lights?

Which ones in particular, there’s a lot I’ve referenced in this thread and they’ve come from a few different outlets.

I have been doing a little upgrade shopping from Kopacek (the site formerly known as Superskoda). Not much that needs upgrading on a Superb III to be honest, but a few bits I’ve been able to improve, and one purchase that turned out to be unusable:

- Lid funnel for the washer bottle (have done this upgrade on both the Fabia IIs in the family and my old Spaceback - it’s such a good idea it’s a no-brainer).
- Mega LED lights for the boot - these are a complete sealed body replacement for the boot lights (left and right sides of the boot) with much more powerful LEDs. Makes a massive difference. I did the same update in my Spaceback, which also suffered from a boot light with poor light output.
- Black plastic boot lip protector. Sticks onto the top of the rear bumper and takes the hit if you catch the bumper putting anything in or out of the boot
- Tablet Smart Holder - so now anyone sat in the back can mount their tablet using the Smart Holder attached to the rear armrest
- Superb branded chrome keyfob tips (did both keys)

The one mistake Inmade was ordering enhanced reflector/puddle lights for the front doors, only to discover the ones on my car are just reflectors and there’s no wiring there. Oh well, never mind.

To do:
- Uprated LED puddle lights for the underside of the front mirrors (now more important given the door reflectors can’t be upgraded)
- Genuine Skoda roof bars

More pics to follow.

Can you provide a link for those LED mega lights please. Take it they were not too difficult to fit?

If you’re still looking, I got mine from AliExpress and they were very easy to fit. Just had to cut a tiny bit of plastic away using a Stanley knife as the aliexpress one are slightly bigger than standard.

Any chance you could provide a link? Thanks
