Was park assist specific to 2024+ models?

Was park assist specific to 2024 models? and/or aerial view?

I don't think it was an option in the UK. I never noticed it anyway.

Park assist used to be standard in the UK on the vRS but was dropped during the semiconductor shortage...

AFAIK Steering Assist as an element of Park Assist been around for several years on Mk3 & 4 vrs.

My 2016 Mk3 L&K has Lane Assist and Park Assist, so been around for at least 8 years.

Octavia VRS (December 2021 Build) Registered Feb.2022 has it.

It was an option on the car when I purchased it.

Neily03 is correct in that a number of options, standard and additional where affected by the semi-conductor issues.

weird i have a November 2022 and it doesn't have it, must have been covid baby vRS

Your screen image shows the 'Park Steering Assistant' symbol (P+steering wheel) suggesting that you do have it, but if the symbol doesn't illuminate when you press it, then it's probably inactive with the semiconductor having been omitted.

That pic is just a photo from a car that has it, i was just using that as an example, because my car doesn't have the photo of the steering wheel and P

OK, that clears things up a bit.

My RS with production date May 2022 also has park assist included.

wow so i must have been the super unlucky one 2022 november, and missed out unless it's diff for AU market? it's not a big deal, i know how to park a car but it would have been nice

What I'm not clear on is whether it was standard on the vrs, or an optional extra that had to be ordered.

If park assist is referring to this function below, then I need to issue a correction as my RS does not come with it. I also do not have the "P+Steering wheel" icon next to the reverse camera feed.

The dealer only advertised Park Distance Control for my RS. However, I do have the park assist button which brings up the reverse camera and activates front/rear sensors when below 15km/h.

The presence of the button caused the confusion to arise at my end.

That's fair comment, the terms are confusing. I have Park Assist on mine (non-vrs), but not the 'Park Steering Assistant' self-parking feature the manual refers to. So what I should have asked, is 'Park Steering Assistant' standard on vrs? It seems not, otherwise all vrs owners would have it, unless regulations in certain countries/regions disallow it...

i would have thought it was standard in the vRS, but i don't have it on my vRS. When i went to have a look at the dealership at a new one, they did not mention any options you can add besides sunroof and premium pack
