Battery Change Superb mk3

Featured Replies

Looking at changing my battery and realize that i need to use a memory saver is it ok to plug into the OBD port and put 12v to it ? or would it be safer to connect to the positive & Negative cables under the bonnet ?

If anyone has done this any advise would be appreciated.  I do know a new battery has to be coded to the car and can do this with my Vaws 3.0 reader.

What is the memory saver for?

It supplies current to the car while you disconnect the battery saves you loosing settings in the cars computer such as radio settings.. you can view them on Amazon.

Just not sure if its safe to supply 12volts into the OBD Port

Not normally necessary to use one.

A mod might move this to the Mk3 Superb section...
