Fabia Mk1 Radio Cables colour and meaning

Featured Replies

Hey Guys. I'm changing my radio in my Mk1 Fabia to a double DIN radio. But the plug in from my old aftermarket radio isn't the same! That's not a problem as I was given a cable that plugs into my radio but needs soldering on. So I will cut the old aftermarket radio adapter which plugs into my black and brown OEM cables, to solder on my new cables. But the trouble is I need to know what colour in my OEM matches my new cables. I hope that makes sense.

For example on my OEM I need to know which colour is live, ground, speakers etc. If someone could provide me with a diagram of sort or a instructions saying what cable does what would be great! See attached a photo of my instructions for my new cables. If someone could provide one similar for the fabia id be greatful

How so?

The two wires that are black with blue stripe are permanent 12V, the wire that is brown with red stripe is only live when key is in ignition.
