some scroat keyed my car...

Featured Replies

It's black magic, and the scratch starts on the drivers door, and the must have just walked along with the key and DUG IT IN on the passenger door.... it's a real mess, happened last night while parked in my G/F's street :finger: I'm really ****ed. :thumbdwn:

can anyone reccomend how I can try to minimise this, or try to polish it away? Any products that can be bought from halfrauds that may assist in this?

a few reccomendations (not along the lines of "don't park there!") may help to stop me swearing........ :(

Some people have had success with Meguires Scratch X, about a tenner from halfords. Personally this didn't work for me and I tried the Brasso wadding stuff that was a couple of quid from a little DIY/hardwear store. It worked a treat for me and the scratch disappeared:thumbup: It's worked for others too.

thanks for that... brasso wadding stuff eh? I'll go look for some.....

Yep, it's in the little blue and white Brasso tin :D but the point is, it's the one where you pull off a bit of the wadding and work it gently until you can see how much/little pressure your paintwork can take.

I've just popped downstairs to get the tin and it says it's Brasso metal polish wadding. Also says it's Duraglit

No such luck for me. my scratch ran from the front wing to the little panel below the rear light cluster.

I hope it comes out for you... I just don't understand why do people do it?

Sorry to hear about. Hope it comes out! People do it because their jealous. Basically you have something that they will never have!
