Elroq: Who else has ordered?

I have a nasty feeling one of the Elroq youtube videos said that although the Kodiaq has a USB c connector in the rear view mirror (albeit the wrong side for right hand drive vehicles) Skoda dropped it from the Elroq.

I had an email reply from Skoda parts where the chap seemed to think the Elroq still came with the connector for dashcam in the rearview housing  so i guess within a few seconds of sitting in the dealer demo i will know for sure.

  • I've ordered mine last week  (85 Edition with Maxx package in brilliant silver) and the anticipated delivery date they've given me is 14th of May. It'll be interesting to see when the car is actually

  • That’s why I kept my 85 edition to under 40k, going to miss the matrix lights and the electric tailgate, but have a workaround “shut the boot dear”

We just heard our car is build week 9 which is wc 24th Feb, so looking increasingly unlikely that the dealer will get it before the dreaded 1st April. I'm not sure at what point they can tax it. Would they have to wait until it arrives at the garage, or could they tax it once it's in the Country and cleared Customs? It's frustrating that a day can cost an extra £2k in RFL in the first 6 yrs

That's harsh.  I really hope they manage to pull a rabbit out of a hat.  I only have it on the dealer's advice that the car must be physically in the UK for it to be registered.

That would save a few pounds!  I hope they're right.

There is still a chance though you will make it in time..i think a lot depends how smoothly things go at the port...fingers crossed.

I suppose week 9 is a bit cloudy. If they produce 600 cars a day, that's up to 3000 cars a week if they work 5 days! In that case, a Monday car would stand more chance  than a Friday car. Lets hope it's a Monday car

Has anyone had an invite to an early test drive of the Elroq in February or March. Apparently it's in Glasgow from 21st to 26th Feb and Ayr from 7th to 11th March and then our dealer in Dumfries from 14th to 19th March.  They've not actually mentioned whether we can test drive it or just admire it in the showroom. I guess there's a number of cars doing the rounds to cover the 150 Dealerships around the UK. It will be interesting to read peoples reviews once they've seem it in the flesh.

no nothing as yet, said to dealer maybe I should have gone for more options, but he still thinks it will be tight to beat the luxury car tax, hence I kept it just under 40k

Yesterday, I received an "unconfirmed" build week of 13 (week commencing 24th March 2025) which was a little disappointing (ordered mid Jan) but we move!

Looks as though lead times are going out. You ordered a week after us, but build date has gone out by 4 weeks as we're build week 9. That's unlucky.

Would they invite people that have already ordered one, for a test drive .......

If they want more sales then more likely they would invite people that Skoda think may be thinking of ordering one, for a test drive, no?

The Skoda Elroq has a ground clearance of 186 millimeters (7.32 inches) so should be fine hopefully.  Ask your local dealer to put your name down for a test drive  on the  Elroq demo when it lands..and you can check it all out then although i like to think people who ordered it would be given priority for the test drives.

Only the dealers that I showed an interest have invited me, the dealer that I ordered from has not given an invitation

Our dealer invited us purely out of courtesy. I think for all the people that have taken a chance and spent £40k on a car that they've never seen, it's the least thay can do. My understanding is that the brief visit of the cars to the dealers is just for that purpose. Skoda have enough orders now to keep them going well past the point that stock cars begin arriving in showrooms. Maybe my love of old school good manners is just being naive!

I have not put any cash down, so in theory I could just walk away, but I am struggling to find a similar car for the same sort of PCP deal

A google search shows 1 or 2 Skoda dealers inviting people to enrol for a test drive on certain dates  beginning last week of February..Not heard anything from my dealer yet and nothing on my dealers website regarding test drives for the Elroq.

Just noticed a facebook post from my local Skoda  dealer advising of Elroq test drives between 28th February and 5th March

Happy days...will arrange date and time tomorrow.

I see today that the 0% PCP with £3500 deposit contribution has been dropped. Latest deals are 0% Interest but with no deposit contribution or 6.5% Interest with £3000 deposit contribution. Obviously selling enough cars not to need the really sweet deals. They've also pulled the deposit contribution on the Enyaq 0% deal as well.

Did you manage to arrange your test drive?

The dealer said he would ring me next week to get a slot.

Dealer has informed me mine is built and awaiting shipping, but is confident it’ll arrive before the end of March (save me £2k luxury car tax if so).  They’re getting demonstrator for a week in March, and will let me have a play when it’s with them.  Hoping I like it because I’ve just had a Mini Countryman electric loan car this week and quite liked it!  Very refined.  £10k more than the Skoda and I’m hoping I like the Skoda more!

Excellent news. Fingers crossed for March delivery.

A shiny new Elroq has arrived at the dealership in the Isle of Wight.  I shall be popping in to see it at the weekend
