Elroq: Who else has ordered?

Featured Replies

Will be very happy if I can get over 300 from it in the summer. Model and wheel choice knocked it down a little below 360 when I specced it

  • I've ordered mine last week  (85 Edition with Maxx package in brilliant silver) and the anticipated delivery date they've given me is 14th of May. It'll be interesting to see when the car is actually

  • That’s why I kept my 85 edition to under 40k, going to miss the matrix lights and the electric tailgate, but have a workaround “shut the boot dear”

Agree 300 in summer would be very nice indeed. Hopefully my edition 85 comes with the quieter Hankook tyres.

Luckily my wheel option only comes with Hankook as an option on the website

Are they quieter? . Had an Octavia VRS few years back came with Bridgestones and they were very loud for road noise

There was a post a few days ago. that seemed to suggest so. More quiet than Skoda's back up tyre supplier that is.

It was showing 391 but that dropped after driving around and temp was 12 so feeling quite optimistic on quoted ranges

I drove one on Saturday at 16 degrees and it was showing over 400 miles and an indicated 4.1 miles/kWh.

Having said that, the salesman drove from the dealership before swapping with me and had an exceedingly light right foot and didn’t trouble any national speed limits so I suspect real world range may drop if you value getting places on time!

I drove it realistically on local a roads and also had a few moments to see how it accelerated did about 25 miles and was saying 2.8 miles/kWh

The Elroq manual ( linked to vin number ) seems to suggest it comes with ventilated seats which is a nice bonus as not heard anyone mention this before.

Still at port...have listed my current car in an online auction today so i hope i get the timing right! I can specify pick up time ..i think 2-4 weeks if car sells so not too bad that way.

Is that the Port of Tyne? Apparently they have storage for 90000 cars, so finding the right one might be tricky.. Is it true that the dealer can tax the car once it's at the UK port? It could be the difference between paying the Premium VED or not. It's a question I'll be asking our dealer on Monday when we go for our test drive. Not overly confident that we'll get an answer as we can't even find out where our car is at the moment.

Does it have a socket for dash cam behind the rear view mirror? - USB-C?

Unfortunately not...first thing i checked on test drive..i have USB in rearview mirror on my current MG so will miss that very handy feature when i trade her in. Also no 12v socket in front with the Elroq means i have to get a new USB-C to Micro USB cable so my existing dash cam will work.

I went to Dumfries this morning and met 4 or 5 car transporters heading towards Cairnryan for the Belfast Ferry. Unfortunately, we were going in opposite directions so it wasn't easy to see what they had on board. I know that some had Audi badges and I would have thought they'd share the ferry from Emden with VW and Skoda to Port of Tyne, storage at Port of Tyne and possibly transport to Belfast. Who knows. Just trying to cheer you up!!

Thanks! You never know ...always a chance it could be on one of them. Cannot be much longer.

I picked up my Elroq Edition 85 Maxx in moon white on Saturday. It is phenomenal! Even when you're not using cruise control, if you're coming up to a junction, a roundabout,a sharp bend or a speed limit change, it warns you and starts to slow down automatically. I drive like a granny most of the time but I tested the acceleration and it is amazing!! It is the best car I've owned.

I finally get to test drive the Elroq tomorrow. Mine was ordered 7th January and had a build week 9. I've no idea where it is now but hopefully I can twist the sales reps arm tomorrow to get up to date information. Before we moved, we used to deal with West End Skoda from Dumferline and they were brilliant at keeping you informed without having to interrogate them. Parks at Dumfries, less so. It'll be interesting to see how effective Traffic Sign Recogntion is. We have it on our current car but, unfortunately Traffic Scotland take delight in putting "HGV 40" signs every few miles on major trunk roads and the car doesn't know it's not an HGV. They're also currently discussing dropping the National Speed Limit down to 50 on single carriageway roads, which will be a bit of a bummer of it comes off. Should help range though!!. I don't drive like a granny, but I do drive like a grandad.

I did see that Caffyns Tunbridge Wells have a red one available for immediate delivery. It has the Maxx Pack that we ordered, the Winter Pack that we didn't order, but it has Lodge Interior. We ordered Suite as we thought it would be easier to clean if the incontinance pants sprung a leak 😁 It is encouraging though to finally see a red one in the country. Gives us a bit of hope.

Those incontinence pads will come in very handy when you push hard down on the accelerator Bowdie, believe you me!

Excellent...great to hear...enjoy!

Finally got to sit in a 85 Design, first inpressions are very good, this had the lodge interior with leather so fairly similar to the Sportline which ive ordered, build quality looks very good and the storage in the boot is great too.

Salesman said there is a delay on the Sportlines for stock now due to this stranded ship in the channel, delivery on mine is still June :(

Had my test drive today in an Elroq 85 Edition. It had Lodge interior which was pretty smart. We did 65 miles on all sorts of roads and I was impressed with both the ride and the handling. Absolutely no pressure from the garage to get the car back to them, so could have gone further. No doubt that's because it was Skoda's car rather than the garages demonstrator. About 8 deg and not a lot of sun, but the trip recorded 3.8miles/kW. Acceleration was impressive, not disimilar to a Mini Cooper S that I had a few years back. Cetainly more spirited than our XC40 with its 3 cylinder 1.5 litre petrol.

Seems that our car is currently at Embden awaiting a ship for Port of Tyne. Salesman was hopeful that he'd have it before the dreaded 1st April which would be good.

Hopefully the two ships abandoned at the mouth of the Humber wont cause any delays to shipments to Port of Tyne.

I see that the "Million Mile Giveaway" for early bird buyers of the Elroq is now finished. It'd be interesting the hear from anyone that actually won the free 10,000 miles or indeed the 4,000. For the record, we got 2000/
