SUPERB 4X4 2012 ESTATE DOOR LOOCK SWITCH

Featured Replies

Good day I have attached the extract from door lock control module. From the switch appears to be a rocker switch that sends a signal from pin 4 to pin 1. In one direction its a short the other I assume is some form of resistance. In measuring it the reading was around 0.75 kohn I therefore assumed it would be a resistance of about 1k howver in ptting 1k across the locks do not activiate does anyone know what the value should be to replicate the lock and unlock mode

That will be a shunt diode.

Lock mode will be contact shut = zero resistance, unlock mode will be open circuit.

It may be the opposite dependent on whether the system should fail safe or fail secure.

Thanks in principle that would have been my thoughts but the schematic suggests a rocker of two push to makes using a component to change the value

Do you think just a diode in series will sort

I'm now wondering if my thoughts over complicated. What I'm trying to do is lock the vehicle from outside with engine running when in the dog field.

My old van used to have a separate remote which must have interfaced with the alarm or lock box

Any thoughts team Briskoda

Are you aware that to do so is illegal in UK?
