I have a Skoda Fabia Mk3 1.0 TSI with a DSG transmission with 7 gears, made in 2021. Today I noticed a problem. When I push the gas pedal to the floor the car accelerates a bit but won't shift into a higher gear, so the car can't accelerate any more. For example, I drive 70 km/h in the 7th gear, I push the gas pedal all the way down, the transmission goes down to the 4th gear, the car accelerates up to 90 km/h, but then it won't accelerate any more and it won't shift to the 5th gear until I release the gas pedal a little bit. It also happens at higher speeds, e.g. it accelerates from 90 to 120 but then it won't continue (it even starts to slow down a bit). What can be the problem?

Edit (since I can't find the "real" Edit button): A week ago I had a regular service (engine oil, all filters, brake fluid, and the battery was recharged as well).

It sounds like an issue with the full throttle upshift facility on the kickdown mode.

Thanks. Is there any way for me to fix it somehow, or is that something only an authorized service shop can do?
P.S.

Today I saw a few Youtube videos about "resetting" a DSG gearbox (hold the throttle pedal all the way down, turn the ignition on, keep holding the pedal for 10-20 seconds, turn the ignition off...). Is that a myth or a real thing? Can that maybe help?

Try it.  5 minutes and you will know if it did anything.
