How to find exact spec....

My digital certificate is one page only. There is no information about equipment.

How can the Skoda app produce 5-page outputs for some users and only single page for some? This seems strange.

The length of the Service History will be very different. According to your profile, your mHEV Octavia is a 2024 model; mine is a 2020 car with [I guess] considerably more miles/kms on it (currently at 54,000 miles).

Looking at the Digital Certificate...

  • Page 1: Vehicle description, VIN, engine specifications, model designation (trim level), and graph of mileage over time
  • Pages 2 & 3: Service and warranty work history
  • Pages 4 & 5: Standard Equipment. This lists everything from "Textile carpet mats" and "Adaptive cruise control" to "Bluetooth" and "Driver knee airbag"
  • Page 6: List of Authorised non-warranty repairs

I would also like to find a way to confirm the specification of the vehicle beyond the engine and gearbox.

Totally understandable, and that is what I see in my digital certificate on pages 4 & 5. Why I and some others get that information and you don't is the key question.

Are you set up as the Primary User in the car with every thing synchronising?  You should see distance driven, fuel consumption and driving data, vehicle location (when not moving), status of door locks and windows, when looking in the app.

Of course, my car is virtually new.

That would be great to see...

Yes, I am and that is what I see in the app.

Only other things I can think of are to pursue it with Škoda UK, Škoda Connect service desk, &/or report it as a bug in the app. Could try emailing support[at]skoda-auto.com who are AIUI based in Europe and a step closer to Škoda Connect than Škoda UK are.

Looking at my digital certificate it weirdly only gives some of the optional extras the car has.....

It says it has the heated windscreen and heated windscreen washer jets but nothing else when in reality it has the heated windscreen and washer jets along with Heated rear seats, heated steering wheel and tri-zone climate control....... Although are they all part of the Winter Pack+ so is the app saying heated windscreen and washer jets instead of Winter Pack+?

The last time I looked was just after I bought the car in April when it was just over 2 years old and the digital certificate gave me next to nothing. My details must have eventually moved over as it now has 6 pages including all the warranty jobs / Recalls / Software updates it has had done prior to me owning it plus all it's services and the Ceramic glaze I got thrown in for free as part of the approved used deal.

Thanks - used your link and within two hours I had a 6-page report with every detail of the factory spec. Now I even know my car was made on 22 May 2024! 😊

I do wonder what some of the things mean, such as "0Y2 Tropical zones" and "8Z4 Moderate hot country"...

Well, France does have some warm parts....  unlike England, obviously: mine (made 20 days after yours) has a code of 8Z5: "Not hot country" .

I bought that report for mine last year from the same source, quite useful to have. Curiously two or three items are in German, easy to translate so no big deal. For 3 Euro ($5 in my language), it's a bargain.

Yes, three or four in German for me too.  I wish it had included the paint colour, too - but it didn't.  Waiting for the car to arrive, I have no idea what exact shade of blue it is.  In Arnold Clark's photos it actually looks like a dark slightly violet blue, which doesn't seem to exist in Skoda's colour chart.

I'm hoping the photo colour has been messed about by fluorescent lighting, and it's actually that rich greeny-blue (lava blue??) but I'm going to have to wait and see, I think.

Most likely the case. Photos often misrepresent real life colours/shades. Mine is white, so there wasn't much to doubt!

Well, me being stupid: the report most definitely did say the colour code at the top of the first page - which turns out to be Lava Blue.   I chose this car out of the 40 or 5 almost identical ones on Arnold Clark's site because it was best value.

It turns out it was best colour (for me and wife) too.

Lucky.

Sounds like the same as mine - 0F/W5Q Lava Blue, right? I was a bit afraid it would be garish but now that I have it I think it's quite cool.

Yes, I think it's a lovely colour - interesting without being garish.  Motorpoint just got the iV I rejected collected (all the neighbours probably thought it was being re-possessed), and that was electric blue.

Definitely on the way to being garish but actually a really nice colour too.

Maybe it is a stupid question, but where did you write your VIN, because in the ad description it says "Attention at the time of purchase write in the message the VIN", but I don't see where to write it while paying.

It was a bit confusing, but I got an ebay message where I could reply with my VIN.

Just been outside in the dark and kicked out behind the rear number plate, I'm giddy with delight that the boot opened.

My problem is that I put my VIN into the Skoda site and no manual is available so I'm doing everything from the How To Videos in the Skoda App

Anybody else had this?

Yes, I get that message on the website too.  I just start over from the home page and choose the car model and year to see the online manual, there is also one in the car.  I sent an email two days ago to Škoda UK about this but haven’t received a reply yet.
