Gearbox in emergency mode

I've just booked in and they said I will have to pay for diagnosis ☹️

Some years ago remember that diagnosis fee was waived if there was a genuine problem they have to address (just to stop people coming in with "I think I can hear a noise that no-one else can hear in my car" :D:D:D).

But wouldn't surprise me if they changed that policy ...

You pay for the diagnosis if the Warranty Work in not approved, not a warranty issue.

Skoda / VW Warranty provider pays for the lot if a fault, covered under warranty.

Pay just £1 even and get a 2 years parts and labour warranty on the job.

Read the T&C,s and know them as well or better than the Dealership Employees.

Hi,

I've recently bought a MY2022 Kodiaq fitted with TDI200 4x4 DSG7

Official PR codes list states its gearbox code is UDC. But I don't find anything with this code, and can't define wether it has a DQ381 or a DQ500 DSG7.

How could I determine this?

Thanks.

@Bap33 Sorry i really do not know for certain and can not check as my mate that is the gearbox specialist is on his holidays. But a UDC is a DQ381 as far as i believe.

Hi @Ootohere,

My engine code is DTUA. According to your screen shots, it could be a DQ381 actually. Thanks!

Anyway, I should go to my dealer soon, since my ´blue bear’ is about to have 45000 km on the clock. I’ll ask them to confirm the right DSG7 type. 😉
