data transfer notification

Featured Replies

Every time I start the car I get the notification in the attached photo. To clear the screen I have to tap "OK". I am totally happy to share my position. Can anyone tell me how to stop the notifcation from coming up please? Going to the Control Centre doesn't do it.That just offers me other sharing (or not sharing) options.  Many thanks.

That sounds more like a security notification, who exactly are you sharing your location with? 100% I’d turn it off

Thanks for your quick reply. But no, it's a legitimate sharing with Skoda. It's for the purposes of the car data and for example emergency response. My question is how to turn off the notification, not how to turn off the data sharing. I know exactly how to do that.

I found this feature useful on other vehicles (didn't try it on the Skoda yet).

It means I could track the progress of my wife's car using the app if she was coming back from her travels/work etc or if she was out somewhere late at night.

I guess it's also needed for the "find my car" parking option

Exactly that - it’s sharing within the Skoda services rather than a generic security notice.

You can change it if you go into your profile in MIB and settings; maybe try and change it and change it back?

Mine does that. I assume it does that when you set up the MySkoda app on your phone, did you set that up?

Have a look in the manual, it’s by design and you won’t be able to ignore

That sounds ominous ... woman can track you too then? 😄
