Dogbone subframe insert.TDI

Featured Replies

Hey. I’ve been through an interesting time with dogbone mount inserts.

Most importantly see here as this will determine which original part you have:

Here

The part numbers are all the same, but the letter at the end is different depending on your engine code. Basically, it’s A or F, but B looks the same as F I think. But either way the Powerflex part number either ends 830 or 832 depending on your original part.

What model/year/engine do you have?

Oh and you definitely want red. They do 4 colours in increasing hardness:

Red, yellow, purple, black.

Red is for diesels, yellow for petrol (purple for tuned petrols, black for track). I have yellow and you can tell it’s there but more in the cold. Most noticeable is on startup. Otherwise it works well.

2018 DFHA

I was looking at red,I want the slightiest increse in stifness

Oddly DFHA isn’t listed on the picture (which comes from the Powerflex website as it goes) but DDAA and DFCA are both related engines and seem to be listed under both A and B parts 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’d give your dealer a shout and ask with your VIN and ask which part number is listed just to be sure.

If it’s 5Q0198037A then you want Powerflex PFF85-830R

If it’s 5Q0198037B or F then you want Powerflex PFF85-832R
