i have recently purchased an ex northern ireland police patrol car at auction, its a 2019 octavia 2.0 tdi estate, it drove thru the auction so i thought it was ok. when i went to collect it it started and drove but no turbo boost at all and iv a full dash of warning lights, abs, steering sensor, flashing glow plug light, tyre pressure light. car wont lock either. there has been a load of extra wireing removed from the car that was for computerised gadgets and lighting. the gateway module is hanging from the dash with 2 yellow wires about 3 inches long leading to nothing, they seem to be number 3 and 13 if im correct. iv lifted carpet in places and took off the inner sill covers but see nothing broken. im stumped on what to do. i have vcds and it wont connect to the car atall. any help would be well received

Humm....where to start.

You need to get the CANBUS gateway back up online first and make sure that you are getting power to pins 16 (+ve power) and earth on Pin 4. If these aren't there, then you have a problem and the wiring has been messed around. Also check the uses and make sure they are hot both sides as well as making sure that you have all the fuses for all the services in the car.

This is a good guide to show you what you should/don't have etc:

I'm also assuming you have a genuine VCDS cable and software. Failing that an ODBEleven dongle and software will also help you out.
