Hi all,

I need to replace my cluster in my 2007 Octavia and I’d like an upgrade.

Is it possible to fit a fl cluster with the bigger middle screen and have it coded to the car?.

I ask as the pre fl maxi dots seem to be a rare sight.

I am not sure but I did read that if petrol has to be from petrol and vice versa re diesel due to different imobiliser systems. You then need to retrieve original cluster code and reprogram new cluster etc. I think it reguires VCDS or similar to access and recode. I looked into it for my old 08 plate Octy but got a bit too complicated for me.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking a diesel cluster for my diesel, I just wasn’t sure if a fl could go in a pre fl. thanks

Yes it can be upgraded to the facelift cluster. There is one for sale on here.
