Hoping to buy an '05 Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

As the title says, so hopefully I will have a few pics to post soon enough. Gona keep it stock, well except for... tinted windows, a bit of ICE (nothin over the top, new head unit, sub and amp) and maybe get it superchipped :D

Hi

Good choice with keeping it standard(ish) ;)

Hi, and welcome

Welcome to Briskoda. Sounds pretty standard going by some of the cars here! :D

Well I put a deposit on a Corrida Red '04 Fabia vRS, no factory options, completely standard, would have liked cruise control but am gona get it fitted....collecting it tonight hopefully. Gona get it all polished n clean and post pics at the weekend. I take it the Skoda Symphony radio doesn't have a a pre-out so I could connect up a subwoofer?

Symphony does have a pre-out, you need to buy an additional cable though. This cable is not available from your dealer though.

A power cable? I plan on getting this active sub which will sit under one of the front seats.

Anybody know if it's any good and if it will fit with the seat at it's lowest height setting?

Yes it will fit, I have that sub.

The seat won't go to the lowest lowest height setting once the sub is in place and you will loose a little rear footwell space (you need to slip the sub in behind the front seats, rather than from the front footwell). However, the seat will still go to about 3/4 of its lowest setting.

You could always put it under the passenger seat maybe?

It is a great upgrade and well worth it IMHO.

And do you have the Skoda Symphony radio? Does it just use standard RCA cables to connect to it and a power lead going to the battery?

Yep, sub has RCA jacks, use a home RCA cable from sub to stereo connection.

Also, you dont need an 'amp wiring kit' for this sub, the sub comes with it all.

hi. and welcome fletch555.

Welcome to Briskoda, Nice vRS.

I prefer the Standard Octy vRS (17") alloys on the Fabia vRS, rather than any aftermarket alloys.
