What would you say is the worst new car on sale today?

You cannot justify this on list price alone but rather it's lack of desirability, driving ability, performance, build quality, practicality, ease of use, looks etc.

I was thinking of something like the Perodua Kelisa 1.0 EZi or possibly the Daihatsu Charade 1.0 EL but it wouldn't surprise me if one of you had a soft spot for either of these vehicles.

The 307 if nasty. I cannot say enough bad things about the 307, but they are as reliable as a tortoise compared to the 1007. That is the semi supermini with sliding doors. Trying to sell these cars is a nightmare, the showroom model had a flat battery all of the time because people play with the doors, also the doors stop are slow, so people force them and brake them. They weight a lot, so are very slow also their fuel economy is bad. The 2-tronic gear box is horrible, and you end up going through the windscreen often.

I would agree with you now, although when it came out it was rather different to anything else on the market and was a refreshing change to the 'boxes' on wheels and for that I aplaud it.

Proton Jumbuck.

Cut the back off a Proton Persona (a truly awful car in its own right) and voila you have the most hideous pickup you could imagine. And how many more years are Proton going to milk out of that Mitsubishi 1.5 12v engine they use in every bloody car they make.

That proton jumbuck would not look anymore out of place on a dung heap than that Ssangyong. The 1007 is still worse IMO.

500cc 2Cyl Diesel Power, a Blistering 28.5Nm Torque. I actually know an old guy who has one of these, and its quite possibly the noisiest little car I've ever heard. Plus it also has mind numbingly bad build quality.

All for just £5250 for the basic model!
